How to Enrol

We are delighted that you are considering 49ͼ¿â. The school you choose will play a significant part in your child and your family’s life. It is where children spend at least five out of their seven days of the week, for most of the year! Given the investment you make in your school community, choosing the right school takes care and consideration, and assistance from the from the start is crucial in helping your decision-making.

It would be a privilege to assist you to understand what an Oxley education would look like for your child, and more than that, what the Oxley community would mean to your family. If you have any questions about the College or enrolment process for entry to any year from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 11, please feel welcome to contact the Registrar, Mrs Lucy Welsh via (02) 4861 1366 or enrol@oxley.nsw.edu.au. You may enquire prior to applying if you wish, but it is not a requirement.

We are currently interviewing for intakes in Year 7 2026, and Year 7, Year 3, Kindergarten and Pre-K in 2025. Please enquire about other years for 2025 via phone or email. Families are strongly encouraged to apply early for Kindergarten 2026.

Enrolment Process

The key entry levels to the College are Pre-Kindergarten (students turning 4 on or before 30 April), Kindergarten (students turning 5 on or before 30 April), Year 7 and Year 11. The College welcomes entry at all other year levels where vacancies exist. Please note that 2025 is the final year of Year 3 being an entry level.

  1. Prospective families explore 49ͼ¿â via Open Mornings, a private tour, our Prospectus and the website.
  2. Submit an Enrolment Application via the link above. Upon the College’s receipt of the Application, together with the required processing fee of $220, the child’s name is placed on the waitlist for the required year of entry, unless an interview is immediately available. Submitting the application itself does not constitute enrolment. A letter confirming receipt of the application will be sent via email.
  3. For key intake years, applicants will be invited to an interview with a member of the College Executive. For Year 7 applicants, this will occur two years prior to the year of entry. For Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and Year 3 (2025 only) applicants, this will occur early in the year prior to entry. For all other years, the interview will occur as soon as a place is available in the desired year of entry.
  4. Pending outcomes of the enrolment interview, a Letter of Offer is issued via email.
  5. Acceptance of the offer by the parents is confirmed following receipt by the College of the Enrolment Contract and non-refundable Enrolment Charge of $2,800 by the stipulated date.

Eligibility and Criteria

49ͼ¿â is not registered to accept International/Overseas students on a Student (500) visa.

The College is not academically selective and has an open entry policy. The College may prioritise applications based on certain criteria, such as whether an applicant is a scholarship recipient, a sibling of a current student, or a child of an Old Oxleyan, as set out in our Enrolment Policy.
